What is the reason for your employment today?

Do you hold your current employment because of the money you generate or is it the strong relationship you have with co-workers or boss?

What is the reason for your employment today?
Both but everyone needs money to survive. That the shameful truth.
Reply:It's a little of both for me. I get paid well and I really like my co-workers, my boss and the environment we create here. I've been here for over 4 years now because of that.
Reply:To eat and pay bill and my rent.....Which prisoners do not do for them selves,
Reply:Neither. I work for something to do. Im a full time mum. But once my kids are in bed I work, I work a few a hours a week to get me out the house and to be me, Not the "wife" or the "mother" but me! I have worked there over five year. and I love it I earn peanuts but they are my peanut!
Reply:I have my current job because I love what I do. I work as a paraprofessional at a high school. I love helping teens with schoolwork or whatever else is bothering them. So I guess it's the relationships, but I would not say my coworkers are that great, nor my boss. It's the kids.
Reply:the money and the relationships..

one gets a job for the money, the relationships is the bonus that can keep you or push you away
Reply:Nope your wrong. I'm Selfemployed and like to work long hours with small pay and no future.... Ye Haw...
Reply:Since I'm now retired after a serious accident on the job, I can't answer your question currently, but I can say that at my last job, at a large railroad, I worked to move as many trains as quickly as I could through our yard, realizing that if they don't make money, I don't make money. I can't say I was always that cognizant of "the bigger picture", and so, often, I was the proverbial clock watcher, sad to say. I'm afraid the majority, the overwhelming majority, of workers here in the U.S., and I'm sure elsewhere as well, are more the clock watcher types than the asset to their employer. I wish it were otherwise, but, . . .. God Bless you.
Reply:I am currently working in a Travel and Tourism job and I absolutley love it not for the money but the people that i work with are just so much fun!
Reply:Neither. In a technical matter, I'm unemployed. But in that same technical matter, I am employed.

You see, I'm a writer, and so as long I keep writing, I'm always gonna be employed. However, I'm not exactly making any money from my current 'job'... I've been published, don't get me wrong. But publication is only part of it.

I can't really work, I can't get a real job the pays money, because I'm too young where I currently live. In due time though I'll be able to get a paying job. But it'll still be a matter of getting the job.

I do know people that work because that like what they do, I know people that work for the money because they nee it, I know people that work for the money, love what they do and have good relationships with co-workers and sometimes bosses. But I'm not 1 of those people. Sorry!
Reply:Both, I generate a lot of money as an engineer programmer. Plus I have a strong relationship with the owners/bosses. I get along pretty good with the co-workers also.
Reply:Because, I need to live. Pay bills ect.
