Whats the best way to write a resume so that employment gaps are not so obvious?

I have had some gaps in employment for health reasons and need to write a resume that will at least get me in the door for an interview. What is the best way to write the resume so the gaps aren't so obvious?

I am afraid any savvy recruiter will probe on the gaps. Just be honest. They can't not hire you for health problems (unless it would be dangerous to do the job) so just be honest - you will get found out! Just say gap due to personal health problem if very big or just leave the gaps and wait to be asked at interview.
Reply:There are a number of things to do. Using months or admitting dates to start might help but you must be prepared to answer why the employment gaps are there during a interview. This article may help. http://www.ehow.com/how_2256863_show-emp...
Reply:You can use months. I wouldn't use years. That would draw a red flag for me right away.

If you fabricate your employment dates - and the potential employer makes a few phone calls to check - then you seem like a shady candidate, even if your skills are there.

Good Luck!

Reply:Try to focus on the years. I have the same problem, lots of short-term jobs, so I focus on the years. I always try to have a part-time retail job going on too, so that way I can always say that I was working, just looking for something FT, etc. Good Luck!
Reply:Travelling perhaps?
Reply:Use months instead of dates.
