Can a Former Employer deny to do an Employment Verification?

There is no federal requirement that an employer has to complete employment verifications.
Reply:Use your friends as reference and or former employer(s).
Reply:No, have your new company put it in writing. They have to at least say you were either terminated or resigned. If you get no response, contact the Dept. of Labor office in your area(Federal). Employers do not like hearing from them and will cooperate immediately.
Reply:sad to say but sounds like a yes to me.
Reply:They can refuses to do so with out a wriiten release.
