I am contemplating a move there but want to check out the employment outlook first. Where should I start looking?

check the housing prices as well -- prices are high compared to the wages typically paid.


You don't say where you live, but fair warning: the weather in phoenix is not great about 9 months of the year, way too hot or too cold, the traffic is so bad in the Phoenix area they're looking at building an interstate to bypass both Phoenix and Tucson, basically you're looking at long, hot commutes from your mctract home and intrusive Homeowner association with the tiny yard and rocks for lawn to an air conditioned box somewhere. I keep hearing people say it's nice here 10 months out of the year--this is a myth from chamber of commerce types. Limited very limited mass transit--
