First job at 16, how do I fill out the employment record on an application?

Also I babysat for one day, and earned around $25-30, would that count as an employment?

I agree w/ the previous answer - note that you are a student.

I'd also list any volunteer work, emphasize that I have good references (list them %26amp; how the person knows you) and a couple of examples of how you've proven that you are a hard worker/reliable (e.g. good grades, club or team memberships).
Reply:i doubt that counts as employment. just write, student or N/A. im sure that will go down fine.
Reply:Don't be so concerned about previous experience. Type up a two or three sentence explanation (or write it somewhere on the application) stating that even though you do not have any previous experience you are a great student, eager to learn, and excited to begin work. Attach this explanation to your application. This will set you apart from the other summer applicants!
Reply:I wouldn't consider one babysitting job as employment experience, myself. I would just fill in the part where it asks for job experience or employment, and write N/A, which means, Not Applicable....

Good luck!
Reply:Before I got my first job, and when I would fill out apps, when it would ask about my employment history I would just put a little dash on the first line, they know what it means.
